Initial Situation
Our client processes a high volume of incoming customer documents daily, especially in claims management. Many of these documents are unstructured and require manual post-processing. To reduce effort and improve data quality, the goal was to develop a fully functional data extraction model for a specific document type within the scope of a focused Proof of Concept (PoC).
Our Contribution
- Defined and analyze the target document type in collaboration with the customer
- Applied AI models to extract relevant header and detail information, classify document content, and structure the output as XML
Value Delivered
- Delivered a working AI model within 4 weeks that accurately extracts and classifies data according to customer requirements
- Generated an XML output aligned with the Forum Datenaustausch standard, enabling integration into the client's claims system for automated processing
